30 Years of Ragtime
(too old to reply)

Hello, fellow piano technicians,

This may not be the time or the place, but nevertheless I am going to
do a little shameless self-promotion for my CD project. It has taken
30 years to come up with, and it is highly unlikely there will be a
sequel. And, it is full of piano music you have never heard before.

If that interests you, please visit http://members.aol.com/ragtimebill
and check it out.

Thanks for your indulgence...

Far out. You're quite a composer and player. /Artistic/ is a lovely rag. Very
relaxing. And as a rag should, it gently tickles the little gray cells. :)
I'll pass the word on to a friend of mine who also loves ragtime.

Are you using Cakewalk or Sonar? You might drop a post about this at
cakewalk.audio and or cakewalk.coffeehouse Heck, join in the conversations.

Actually, I use Encore. It is great for scoring and publishing but its
midi tools leave something to be desired.

Thanks for the kind words!

For engraving scores I use /Overture./

I have not tried Overture, but have used Encore for over ten years.
For an example of its printed output, I have made the first two pages
of my "Chimney Creek Rag" available for download at
http://members.aol.com/ragtimebill/CCRag.pdf and invite you to see what
the package can do. I have used the tool for scores for concert band,
too, and the first page of Eubie Blake's "Fizz Water" is at
http://members.aol.com/ragtimebill/FizzBand1.pdf.

Well, we've both got what we need. :) Here's an Overture example:
