How does one tell if the keys are ivory? Do they snap like a bone when
removed or what? I have a W.W. Kimball Ser # 232505 upright. I'm almost sure
they are plastic keys. I'm replacing them with one piece molded.

Look at the grain on the keytops. You may need to shine a light on it at an
agle to see it properly. Ivory grain varies from keytop to keytop - like
fingerprints. Simulated ivory, on the other hand (no pun intended) has a
regular grain - an identical fingerprint.
