Yamaha Felt Needed

Hello, friends and fellow technicians,

I have a customer with a Yamaha grand who would like to have the felt
replaced on the music rack. This is the soft brownish/bergundy felt
that the bottom of the music rests on as it leans against the music
rack. They say it can be a green felt as well, as that would go with
the decor of the room.

Can anyone tell me how to get this felt, or some specifics as to its
thickness in case I have to replace it with non-Yamaha felt?

Thanks in advance,

Bill Rowland

I'd probably use thin suede (or ultrasuede); it would last longer. You can
use anything you want; it's not critical to the piano.

Use "Aileen's Tacky Glue" to glue it on (any craft store or the craft
section of Wal-Mart).
