All,

I am close to a buying decision between the two subject pianos and would
appreciate a technician's opinion. Either one will be bought new.

The piano will be "treated" well with regards to temperature, humidity, and
playing conditions. I'm particularly interested on how you feel about
materials, workmanship, ease of maintenance, tuning stability, etc.

Thanks,

Personally I'd go with the Kawai. The RX6 is a 7' while the C6 is
6'6". That additional string length makes a huge difference. I think
the quality of both pianos is about equal in terms of materials,
construction, design, etc.

Back about 10 years ago I was making the same comparison except the
Kawai was a GS 60. The Yamaha C6 just didn't have the sonority that
the larger piano offered.
